Heat Pumps

Heat pumps are more efficient than an electric heater for heating your pool. Typically they will return three to seven units of heat energy for every unit of electrical energy.

They work by capturing heat from the air and using it to heat the pool water. This done via a fan, condenser and evaporator.

Most people already have this type of technology in use in their home, by the way of a refrigerator. Just in reverse.
