Experienced Pool and Hot Tub Engineer Required

Due to an increasing workload, Homewood Leisure has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Swimming Pool & Hot Tub Service & maintenance Engineer to join our team. This position is based from our retail showroom and will involve frequent travel to our customer’s properties in the East Sussex and Kent area, for service, maintenance and installations.

ABOUT THE BUSINESS & THE ROLE:

Homewood Leisure have been trading for over 10 years constructing, refurbishing and maintaining swimming pools and installing Hot Tubs, Spas and Saunas in the residential and commercial markets.

Our showroom is located on Udimore Road in Broad Oak Brede, East Sussex, where we stock and sell a wide range of award-winning hot tubs, water treatment products, swimming pool & hot tub accessories.

JOB TASK & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify & disclose future sales & service opportunities at each location
  • Help with quote preperations.
  • General swimming pool construction and pre-plumbing duties
  • Installation of pool equipment including, pumps, filters, heat pumps & dosing units, in line with manufacturer’s specifications
  • Pool refurbishments
  • Scheduled maintenance visits to our regular customers Pool installation, servicing and maintenance, including:
    • Cleaning of equipment
    • pumps
    • Dosing Systems
    • Filters & pipe work
  • Undertake water quality tests and record findings
  • Hot Tub Servicing and Maintainance including
    • Hot Tub refresh services
    • Repairing/Relacing pipework, pumps and heaters
  • Perform other reasonable duties as requested by the Senior Management

WORKING HOURS:

  • Monday to Friday, 7.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • ½ Hour for lunch (unpaid)
    • 2 x 15-minute breaks (one morning, one afternoon) (Paid)
  • One Saturday in four as shop cover. (10a.m. to 4p.m.)

ANNUAL LEAVE:

  • 28 Days (including bank holidays)

The position will be subject to a three-month probation period after which you will be automatically enrolled in the nest pension scheme.

    Previous experience essential
  • Able to follow company policies and procedures
  • A current & clean driving license
  • Have a basic IT skill set allowing you to access the company IT systems, these skills comprise of:
    • Use of Windows 10
    • Ability to use email
    • Word and Excel
    • Upload and download of documents to our cloud-based services
    • Vend – Till software in the shop (Training will be given)
  • Willingness to extend your skill set by self-learning or by courses booked by the company.
